a short video about Israel and Palestine....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y58njT2oXfE&feature=player_embedded
Truth can hurt more than any physical injury and it's usually in the middle... These statements are true for any moments in our history, as the statement the first reason for a war are the greediness, strive for new territories and natural resources, then  the second is the unnecessary revenge (as some of my characters say in a future book of mine).
I cannot claim I'm an amazing expert in history or politics, but couldn't refrain from posting this short and true video (I hope my good Jew friends won't be offended, they love their land very much). But I guess all the angry people who cannot bare the sight of Jews and want to send them all into oblivion have to watch it very carefully... I really hope the future for both nations will be perfect...

middle of the week's jokes :)...

In a chat room: "Probably you are very beautiful?"
"Oh, thank you! Why do you think so ;)?"
"Well, it's the only way for nature to compensate such a stupidity..."

Why blonde women throw crumbs in the lavatory pan? To feed the toilet duck...

A drug addict enters in a church and starts to blow the candles. "What are you doing?!" asks a priest.
"What do you mean what? I have a birthday today..."

Future could bring not only new, better improvements, useful gadgets, or perfect medicines, etc. There would also be a lot of crazy and insane decisions and choices... like the one to sue yourself from the past for being lazy, bully, or not shrewd enough... my The Origin Of Gods, probably :).

The REAL story of the first "thanksgiving"---

I know many USA citizens wouldn't like this post, some of my friends at facebook are usually frustrated because of such posting as it is against their country... Yet, I think it's not against USA but actually just condemns and show such vile acts... This is history and must be very well known... Those who forget their past are forced to repeat it again, as they said in Babylon 5, right? Thanks to a good FB friend of mine, Gray Wolf, I could share it here too, happy Thanksgiving, let's such vicious acts remain in the past:

The story began in 1614 when a band of English explorers sailed home to England with a ship full of Patuxet Indians bound for slavery. They left behind smallpox which virtually wiped out those who had escaped. By the time the Pilgrims arrived in Massachusetts Bay they found only one living ...Patuxet Indian, a man named Squanto who had survived slavery in England and knew their language. He taught them to grow corn and to fish, and negotiated a peace treaty between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Nation. At the end of their first year, the Pilgrims held a great feast honoring Squanto and the Wampanoags.

But as word spread in England about the paradise to be found in the new world, religious zealots called Puritans began arriving by the boat load. Finding no fences around the land, they considered it to be in the public domain. Joined by other British settlers, they seized land, capturing strong young Natives for slaves and killing the rest. But the Pequot Nation had not agreed to the peace treaty Squanto had negotiated and they fought back. The Pequot War was one of the bloodiest Indian wars ever fought.

In 1637 near present day Groton, Connecticut, over 700 men, women and children of the Pequot Tribe had gathered for their annual Green Corn Festival which is our Thanksgiving celebration. In the predawn hours the sleeping Indians were surrounded by English and Dutch mercenaries who ordered them to come outside. Those who came out were shot or clubbed to death while the terrified women and children who huddled inside the longhouse were burned alive. The next day the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared "A Day Of Thanksgiving" because 700 unarmed men, women and children had been murdered.

Cheered by their "victory", the brave colonists and their Indian allies attacked village after village. Women and children over 14 were sold into slavery while the rest were murdered. Boats loaded with a many as 500 slaves regularly left the ports of New England. Bounties were paid for Indian scalps to encourage as many deaths as possible.

Following an especially successful raid against the Pequot in what is now Stamford, Connecticut, the churches announced a second day of "thanksgiving" to celebrate victory over the heathen savages. During the feasting, the hacked off heads of Natives were kicked through the streets like soccer balls. Even the friendly Wampanoag did not escape the madness. Their chief was beheaded, and his head impaled on a pole in Plymouth, Massachusetts -- where it remained on display for 24 years.

The killings became more and more frenzied, with days of thanksgiving feasts being held after each successful massacre. George Washington finally suggested that only one day of Thanksgiving per year be set aside instead of celebrating each and every massacre. Later Abraham Lincoln decreed Thanksgiving Day to be a legal national holiday during the Civil War -- on the same day he ordered troops to march against the starving Sioux in Minnesota.

This story doesn't have quite the same fuzzy feelings associated with it as the one where the Indians and Pilgrims are all sitting down together at the big feast. But we need to learn our true history so it won't ever be repeated. Next Thanksgiving, when you gather with your loved ones to Thank God for all your blessings, think about those people who only wanted to live their lives and raise their families. They, also took time out to say "thank you" to Creator for all their blessings...

3rd Space Odyssey: 2061: Odyssey Three

Some of my friends told me that I have to post some opinions of mine about the books and read and liked. So, I guess my blogs could be better with such posts!
Usually, only one book of a sequel is considered good enough. And usually, it is the first one, probably because it includes the denouement itself and the next books couldn’t surpass that, no matter how much suspense, scientific and other important facts, etc they describe.
Actually, after reading the 3rd Space Odyssey, I think every one of the sequel have their good qualities and they complement one another. So, they could be classified as an exception from the rule and I could not say which one of them is the best. There are amazing moments and wise predictions of the future in anyone of them (probably some more in the third though). There are some wise speculations about “gods” and the origin of life and intelligence; however they don’t give all the answers which everyone expects. Yet, it doesn’t mean all the religious fanatics mustn’t read and learn some things from them… I guess if they realize the wisdom in these stories, there shouldn’t be so much suffering, murders, madness, etc in the name of any religion.
The amazing adventures in the Third Odyssey don’t include so many details about the so called creators, but a reader could read a lot of interesting facts about space, our solar system, the incredible wonders stars could create, etc. There are some of the author’s wise predictions of the future, which we don’t fulfill even today, though the book was written in 1987, I guess owing to people’s stupidity, greediness and strive for power and lack of wisdom…
The Third Odyssey was not such a great source for inspiration for me as the first and the second (reading them, a lot of good ideas came to my mind), but it was really useful with some scientific facts, which could not only help me for some of my future stories, but I guess could be interesting even for those who don’t like sci-fi ;).
Finally, I must point out that all the three books of the sequel are a wonderful combination of fantasy, sci-fi, philosophy and reality. It was interesting that after finishing the third Odyssey, the author was wondering whether he wrote science fiction or just a story about the scientific achievements of the modern world of his time. As some of his “predictions” became reality when his book was published. Yet, this wouldn’t be an obstacle for any fan of the good science fiction to enjoy this wonderful story!

Some thoughts about religious fanatics like Anderch Breivick.

Some thoughts about religious fanatics like Anderch Braivick.
I know this post/note is a little late, but the issue is too important to just ignore it or forget the awful events that lead to the death of about ninety innocent youngsters. A. Braivick is not the first religious fanatic, who actually has nothing in common with religion and its virtues and who kills “in the name of a better future”, and unfortunately probably won’t be the last. I guess everyone could understand his anger caused by the irresponsible behavior of his parents and sister (and probably of many of his friends and compatriots too who had a lot of dangerous sexual contacts that led to diseases and health problems). Yet, only a fanatic idiot could understand why this anger had to be the cause for such a terrible act. Probably a lot of people, including me, wonder whether this or any other religious moron have read the Bible or Quran, or if they did whether they understood any of the messages written there? Before any act that includes murder of even one innocent man or woman, these “religious” idiots have to think what would Jesus Christ or Mohamed do in such occasions? Would they kill or would just use the many other more effective methods to show people what’s wrong? Like creating a web-site with a lot of info about the awful consequences of not following God’s orders? Or creating a group of really religious people at social sites like facebook, myspace, sodahead, etc. that could really help people realize the virtues God and his followers tried to show us in holly books like the Bible and Quran?
I’m sure there are many other similar and painless ways for that, which would lead to much better results, namely a change in people’s minds and behavior… Of course such results wouldn’t come right away, but would be much better as they wouldn’t involve any killings. They will be quite the opposite of the results after A. Braivick’s horrible massacre, because now many people will despise the Bible and religion since they could be the cause for so many horrible losses…
There are many wise thoughts which show such narrow-minded idiots like Braivick have been present in humans’ history a lot of times. Thoughts and quotes which all the religious fanatics have to put over their beds and think over them every day:
I like your Christ but I don’t like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. Mahatma Ghandi.
I have nothing against God, it’s his fan club I can’t stand. not sure about the author.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. – Steven Weinberg
And I couldn’t refrain from posting a quote or two from my books too, as they are true I guess and could also help the religious fanatics realize how wrong they are:
All the problems in the world lead to one – narrow-minded people. my Incredible Future.
As strange as it may sound, the people who are following God’s orders are mostly non-believers. my The Origin Of Gods.
I'm not sure whether fanatics like A. Breivick will read this but hope some normal people will do and will share it with some of them to change their frame of mind...
